Is this rule that my parents have unfair?

Hi, I'm a 13 year old guy, and I absolutely LOVE Elton John (as you can see from my name and pic). But my parents say I'm not allowed to listen to him because they are worried I will turn out gay like him. Is this fair or not? I listen to him at my friend's houses. And I am not gay.
